New to the area? Back home from college? Looking for a way to meet people AND play a team sport? We would love to have you on the team! We welcome any experience level and anyone 18 and over.
Each team member is responsible for paying team dues. These dues pay for a variety of things, including Midwest and Ohio Union dues, ref fees, social fees, and new equipment. The exact amount varies from season to season, depending on the number of home matches and other factors. Dues must be paid before you play in the first match. Before the first game, you will need to be CIPPed (registered as an official team member through USA Rugby). If you are not CIPPed, you cannot play in a league match. That is a league rule, not a team rule....any team with a non-CIPPed player playing in a league match automatically forfeits. This only has to be done annually, as your registration is valid from August through July. That CIPP fee is included in your fall dues, and will be done by the treasurer. Rugby doesn't require much to get started. We recommend that you get a good mouth guard and a pair of soccer cleats. Eventually, you will want to invest in a pair of black rugby shorts, as other athletic shorts just don't withstand the beating that rugby provides.
